Life's Bumpy Path

I just wanted everyone to know that i wrote this for the best boyfriend a girl could ever ask/hope for. To my best friend, Alex.

You are the light in my day and the joy in my life. The smile that is upon my face is only there because of you. A life without you does not seem like a life at all. When we are apart, I find myself dreading time, and wishing for it to go by faster, so that I can spend every minute with you. I like to sleep because you are in my dreams. I imagine your face and I never want to wake up, because I know that at least there I can be with you. When I wake up, I miss you more then is truly possible. When we are finally together, I will not be sleeping. I will be with you, while we hold each other, and let the other know that this isn't just a dream. Then we can finally be away from all of the criticism in our lives, and finally just live in happiness. I never want to be without you again, because I am afraid of what I will become without you there guiding me and helping me along life's bumpy path.
