Misunderstood...

by MySweetGrief   Mar 30, 2007

So misunderstood,
wronged, never right,
to escape from this prison,
a perilous fight.
So lost, and so helpless,
I'm held captive by darkness,
left, yet again,
yearning for flight.
A broken heart,
happiness...a fleeting dream,
watching, in pure agony,
as my life comes apart at the seams.
Crying out, in vain it seems,
my screams have not been heard,
slowly fading in this darkness,
drowning in my echoed words.
Wishing away the darkness,
the blood from on the floor,
screaming for my pain to end,
my life, to be no more.
Locked up in this prison,
this cell, my only place,
wishing for a window,
to see a friendly face.
So long ive been misunderstood,
longing for a chance,
solitary all these years,
...and death is my last dance.
