Emilys Song

by Linden   Mar 31, 2007

(Written for English, about a movie called One Night the Moon)

Mum and Dad will be happy
When they see me sail away
On the round shiny moon
Oooh ohh hurray

Nothings stopping me now
On my way to the moon

Legs getting tired
Goodbye moon
The sun will be up
The suns coming soon

Nothings stopping me now
On my way to the moon

Slowing down
Breathing deep
Lifes draining away
The road is steep

Nothings stopping me now
On my way to the moon

Mum where are you
Moon, where did you go?
I feel alone
Oh woe, oh woe

Nothings stopping me now
On my way to the moon

Another one that I really enjoyed reading, as it sparkled with creativity and originality.
I liked the repetition, I thought it made the poem powerful, and by using it at the end as well, it has great impact.
