I lay next to you as your friend
I lay lost in my thoughts
Thoughts of being closer to you
I think of something perfect to say
Something that will show my feelings
But I'm to afraid to tell you
Im to afraid of what you'll say
So I lie to myself and I lie to you
I say you mean nothing to me
I say we are just friends
Why can't I get the courage to tell you the truth
I'm afraid to tell you of my love for you
I'm so afraid of not being with you
But my fear of telling you is just as great
