"On my 18th birthday,
I heard a knock at the door.
There was no one in sight,
Only a bouquet on the floor"

^^ I love this opening, it creates such a pretty picture right from the opening of the piece.

"I picked it up,
And read the note inside.
What I learned that day,
Brought tears to my eyes. "

^^ I like this, because the first stanza is so pretty, yet with this stanza, the reader can't help thinking...what's going to happen...

"Dear Robyn,
I don't know how to tell you,
But it'll have to come out some day.
I've loved you since the day we've met
And each rose has something to say. "

^^ This is beautiful...the whole each rose has something to say...just beautiful, not to mention original.

Stanzas four to nine:
I love these, these bring a feeling of calm, of serenity to the reader and again goes back to the same feeling as the first stanza and the transisitions throughout the piece keep the reader hooked.

The following stanzas brought tears to my eyes...they are filled with so much melancholy that I can't help but tear up..

The emotion you place into these stanzas is overwhelming, while the closing stanza is filled with so much love and loss simutaneously.

The only thing I didn't like was that the entire piece rhymed except for the last stanza, and it threw the flow of for me.

But apart from that I love this.

Wow! This actually took my breath away. This was such a beautiful and sad poem. I actually have a poem for my ex that passed away in here. It's called "I Remember" it's in 3 parts, just in case you wanna read it. Anyway, back to the poem. I really loved the way you've written it. Not many people can pull off long poems, but you've done a great job with it.

Wow. At first I thought 'ahhh it's long!' but it was SO worth it. Such a beautiful, thought provoking piece of poetry, it made me so sad to read. When I read about the last rose I gasped really loudly, because I just felt that I was there!

my eyes widened wen i read the 7th rose... i didn't see that coming... i'm really amazed by the poem and how it was absolutely heart-warming and romantic but really sad because someone had to die... i hav no comment on how u wrote it.. everything was good and i felt that unexplainable emotion wen i finished reading this... i must say.. 2 thumbs up! =D

Other than that this is an amazing poem. I absolutely love this poem! Words can't express it, haha. It made me cry. And, though poems can do that quite often it was the crying that means something other than sorrow and such. Amazing poem, darling.

GOd this was so touching. it made me wanna cry. it was beauitful but yet sadly he went away. a poem like this the one u have writen realie touched mi. to tell the ones u love, I love you every single day. cuz who knows what might happen. i loved it. once again you have writen an amzing poem.

Holly, this was amazing! It is usually hard for people to pull off such long poems and make them so perfect as this. I loved the subject and how I thought the poem was going, but then you surprised me with a twist! I really like that because it made your writing even more interesting! Great job. 5.5
