My Sacrifice

My cry for help
Falls on deaf ears
Red lines streak my face
From my endless flow of tears

Nothing seems to help
Not the therapy or the pills
My worst enemy is my love for you
Because now every day it kills

It starts with my legs
Making them tremble and fall
It's gotten so bad
I can hardly control them at all

Then it goes to my stomach
Making me sick every day
People tell me it's alright
But I know it won't be okay

It finally strikes my heart
Ending the life I had
My day consists of self pity
And forever feeling sad

My sacrifice for you
Came at too high of a price
My love for you may not be enough
But for now it will suffice
