Differences

The times we shared cannot be expressed by words
Only by the sorrow we share

The many differences we see in the other and ourselves

The many ways in which we see each other

Are our only ways to know one another

And to put aside the differences that separate us

To become one

As one we may all enjoy the differences that make us unique

We all share a common bond

A bond that is broken and forged by our differences

The same bond we fear

May not allow us to stay in our groups that we call friendships
