Bleeding Heart

by Raychil   Apr 3, 2007

Shadows sit on empty walls
Empty like her heart
Pictures lie askew on the floor
All torn and ripped apart

Moonlight seeps through the glass
The curtains leave it space
Just so a little beauty
Will still posses this place

He was supposed to be her solace
Her stars and her sun
He was supposed to be her guidance
He was supposed to be the one

Tears escape her soulless eyes
Though she can't feel them fall
She can't feel her hair on her cheeks
She can't feel at all

The door still hangs open
From when he left her alone
Even though the night before
He called her his own

And with innocence of a child
She gave him all she could
Not thinking he would hurt her
He claimed he never would

And as she takes her knife
She cuts his photo apart
But as paper rips and shreds
It takes more of her heart

Angels cry above her
Demons cheer below
Angels try to send her light
Demons steal their glow

Where is her redemption now?
She's obviously in need
Where is her hope to be found?
Since her love left her to bleed.
