The burning twinkle. . .

by Chloe*   Apr 3, 2007

I reach to the skies and I hold the burning twinkle,
Hard to grasp because it's glow is hot to touch,
And in your dreams I prance and softly sprinkle,
I sprinkle my caring glow, because I love you so much...

I lie in the most blossomed meadow,
Each petal if full of chance,
"Love me love me not" casts a shadow,
Because I look beyond the clouds and you cast a glance...

The heart in my treasure chest, it's my chipped jewel,
Broken by the past pirates that stole my happiness,
Now I wont give my love to just any fool,
Your diamond only shines for me, and it shines pure bliss...

As I walk through the most darkest streets,
So gray and old,
Your eyes have blinding rainbows that shine in the rain,
I look around, the faces, so dull and cold,
I run to kiss the sweetest lips, the aphrodisiac that numbs the pain...

I shudder on the stage, confused and hesitating my next line,
The stage of life shuts my curtains and I stand with no encore,
And I begin to hear slight clapping, and all is mine,
The curtains open, your hands intertwined in your appreciation, you wanted more,

Twirling in my dreams of wonder, I fly over nightmares of tears,
I land with caution, I look away from my past, and the end is so far,
I look above the skies, your smile; it takes away all my fears,
Your love falls from the sky, sprinkles of a burning star.
