You Aren't Who You Used To Be

by LostLikeTearsInRain   Apr 4, 2007

I can't skip this class anymore
I must take on seeing your face
Oh no, you just walked in
Please God get me out of this place

I sit across the room from you
I hear your voice for the first time in a while
I smelled your perfume as you walked by
And I saw your beautiful crooked smile

Now I just want to cry
I want to fly far away
And never look back
Maybe even find a better place to stay

You use to be an original
A one of a kind
But the now you've changed entirely
And I can't get you off my mind

"Fitting in" never used to be on the agenda
But now it's all that matters
I have no luck
It's like I've walked under a thousand ladders

I don't know if you're scared to admit you've changed
Or if it's that you just can't see
Accept it for what it is Katie
You aren't who you used to be
