Why are roses of bright red sweet?
Why are daises and lilies of colorful divine?
Why are tulips of savory smell?
Why are sunflowers of bright yellow shine?

Why?
Why are skies of great adventure?
Why are clouds of mystifying gloom?
Why are rainbows of extraordinary happiness?
Why are lights of the sky of blinding bloom?

Why?
Why are the mountains and hills of joy and excitement?
Why are the streams and lakes of peace and mind?
Why are the trees of deep green mixture?
Why are the valleys of speed and time?

Why is this my friend?

    I really liked this poem, but I think the "why's" at the beginning and end of each stanza (the whys that are not followed by anything) should have been cut out because it really does get repetitive. but of course thats your personal artistic choice. anyways, excellent job, a really beautiful poem!

    I think that this piece has a lot of repeating in it and kind of loses the attention of the reader at the end. Don't get me wrong, I like poems based on this topic, but the ending doesn't seem to complement the poem. I truly do love your choice of words though :D. Keep it up!
