An Empty Mind

When I stare into my reflection
On the old, cracked wall
It tells me something is missing
There is no reflection at all

Blood pours down the frame
And I crack the dusty glass
They said it was just a phase
But this will never come to pass

An empty soul never smiles
Don't they know this by now?
Shards of glass fall to the carpet
They take their final bow

The evening rolls on slowly
As the hollow moonlight sings
The empty mirror is my head
And I can see the pain it brings
