Pulling the Trigger

by just chelsea   Apr 6, 2007

Yesterday has come and gone
today just came and went
i sat among our pictures
your smile was heaven sent
i closed my eyes tight
but the tears squeezed through
i didn't want to fight
but there was nothing i could do
and so i sat and questioned
the things i couldn't change
the memories seemed distant
cold and out of range
shot through the heart
with words of misery and hate
watch it fall gently apart
while body and mind debate
soul is fragile, it hits the ground
echos dead silence
not one single sound
hate is big, but love is bigger
I've made my choice
finger on the trigger
now load the bullet
take off the safety
and effing pull it
