Tonight.

by tashhh   Apr 6, 2007

And if I don't come home tonight,
Please don't think I'm not trying to make this right.

In the desert sun,
I watched my nerves come undone,
One by one,
Like strings they tangled,
Into knots,
Ever since that day,
I've learned to hate myself,
For giving everything away.

I watched you pack your things,
I watched you walk away,
I said this wouldn't happen,
But here it is today.

I know there's nothing to it,
You're leaving without any care,
I made a mistake,
How did I dare?

And if I don't come home tonight,
Don't think I didn't try my best to fight.
