Hidden lies

A blinded lie
that was hidden
for years
hidden so well
beneath all my tears
i was a child
who was frightened
of the night
cause thats when
it started the demon
came out
i was so scared
to tell anyone
how do you say
that someone so close
could do
such a thing?
nobody believed me
when i did tell on him
they said i was bad
and never again
say such a thing
i became confused
and start to believe
he was right and i was wrong
and let him rape me
my pain grew
as i grew up
i couldn't cope
he showed no shame
smiling at me
and winking at me
he really showed me
i was never going to win
