You there

by Marissa   Apr 7, 2007

Walking by
I see you
Standing there
Watching me as a walk by
Time and time again
Late one night
You see me
And walk over to me
While all my friends watch
We exchange numbers
You run to catch the car
And leave
The next day
My phone is ringing
It is you
You ring me for the sixth time
We chat like we have known each other forever
The weeks go by
The phone calls start slowing down
One night
You ask me to meet you
In the park
I told you I'd be there
I'm standing there waiting
Waiting
The time goes by
Nothing
Where are you?
What happened?
Finally i give up and go home
The next day
I walk past again
This time it is different
My friend is with me
She knows what happened
She tells me that you are not worth it
I take one look at you
And say
No he is just better than me
I keep walking
She yells out
Jerk!
Now i wait for the next day
That i can walk past and see you
I want to walk up to you and say something like
What happened?
I waited for you?
But i am scared
I don't want to know
But then i do
What should i do?
Give up on you
Or keep on going
I will wait
For the one glace again
