Thoughts

Shadows creep
children weep
we all lose sleep
because of them.
they go unheard
but they scream out
inside your head
you hear them now.
they poison you
your heart is black
when did this all
become like that.
they're running free
you can't go home
so suddenly
your all alone.
you've lost control
this isn't right
when did your thoughts
turn out the light.
so many questions,
answers-- gone
your spirit's tired
it's journey long.
the fight is over
you've already lost..
if only you had known the cost.
