A Guy, A friend, My brother

by Victoria Rainey   Apr 7, 2007

Listening to the soft moans, that slowly dies
Saving our country, our people, and our lives
Finishing up what was started
Over the hill, over the nation, families parted
Dead bodies scattered across the plains
Our final destinations are made
Question you ask your self all the time
are you ready to die?
Pride, and courage remains in our heart
a TEAR is just a start
You were there all along, fighting by my side
Yes.. It hurts inside
The sight of you have fade
But friendship will always remain
Here I am looking at your gravestone
I raise my hand
And salute to you my friend
Our friendship, Our tales will never end
Everything happened too soon
When you died
part of me died too
Tears running down my cheeks
I hope you know that I am proud of you
of everything you have done
For me and the country you served
I cannot tell you how much you deserved
You deserve more than just my respect
more than just my love for my brother
You deserve my life and others
You're more than just a friend to me
You had my back all my life
You're my brother
Now it's time for me to give you mine
