I gave you my heart
but i gave it up slowly
i had no reasons
except what people told me

don't fall too fast
he might fall in love
but his love won't last

but with time, my trust grew
and i gave you my heart

for i held no part

but eventually you let it go
and it fell to the ground
my heart was left shattered
with pieces all around

and released a few fears

i still had my doubts
but i had to move on

was still just as strong

so this new guy i met
seemed to help me forget-
forget all those thoughts
of my hurt and regret

my life was beginning
to become how it was
i regained my hope
and i regained my trust

as if on a new track
and my feelings for you
just came rushing back

it took me some time
to finally agree
that me and you
were just meant to be

but i can't give it all
