White moon

White moon

From behind the clouds the white moon appeared
It showed me a sight that so much feared.
Surrounded by maddening thoughts
Confused, in a blur, seeing no way out.
Long time ago, you were caressing me
That time, now is history.

I was ignorant because I did not see,
That slowly but surely you slipped away from me.
You left me on that day, suddenly and way too soon,
No more, would we look together at that white moon.
So sad I am now, since you've been gone.
All I can do is pray for an early dawn.

To where you left, I have no clue.
Feeling miserable is all I can do.
I hate that moon for being there,
I look away, but I feel it stare.
It remembers me of the time when I still had her,
When we gazed at this moon together.

I try to forget you every night.
But I'm destined to lose this fight.
I guess it's true what they say, there's no denying.
That as soon as you're born, you're dying.
But I am prepared to face my doom,
Just don't ever again, let me look at that white moon.

In my heart, where the cold wind blows,
And where that moonlight never shows,
That's where you'd once belong
Tell me love, where did we go wrong.
And way down inside
You put out the light.

All this time I tried to make you stay
And still you drifted away.
I don't want to play a one-man show
In my heart, I really can't let you go
Everything changes, but my love for you forever stays,
I can't live without you, not for one more day.
