All But True

by Grunge Angel   Apr 9, 2007

Getting tired of repeating each day
feeling weary, drifting far away
in this dream called reality
he suffers and screams, but we can't ever hear him

The walls of this mind are about to break
escaping from the torment that he knows
hell is a torture that we hate
why is it something that they have to put him through

condemned for being man
it was part of their plan
callused from the throbbing
pain inside
this is the life that he knew
all but true

the only thing that keeps him alive is pain
fear is the only thing that keeps him sane
horrid thoughts go to his brain
his body worn out; permanently stained

They give him rights to wear those burdened eyes
looking foward to his own demise
an illusion in the distance, he screams out a name
it always breaks his heart when there's no one there

in a room without a door
painted white down to the floor
emptyness tears at him, joy comes at a cost
this is the life that he knew
all but true
