There's a monster under my bed
But there's an angel over my head
The monster is feeding on my fear
The angel says don't be afraid my dear
Just fall asleep and dream away
In darkness I won't let you stray
The monster is trying to get to me
But the angel won't let it be
I drift away and fall asleep
Into my dreams the monster starts to creep
It's in my dreams and my mind starts to race
But the angel shall take its place
Sending it away to back where it came
Putting her hand on my head and saying my name
Saying to me that the monster is gone
So sleep and wait for dawn
