Staring Into Space

by Painted By Colors llInLovell   Apr 11, 2007

They will laugh to see your struggle
They will laugh to see you fail.
They glare at you with cold eyes,
As you come out from behind your veil.
They'll wait for you to open up,
Then redicule your personality
They don't care who you are,
All they want is your fatality.
And when you begin to stare into space,
They'll wonder why you're still here,
They'll look into your lonely face,
And question your inner strength.

(its the beginning of a long poem that I've been writing. INCOMPLETE)

"They will laugh to see your struggle
They will laugh to see you fail.
They glare at you with cold eyes,"

These 3 lines really stood out to me in the poem. People seem to get some sort of entertainment out of others peoples pain and struggle. Sometimes it happens unintentially though. Really enjoyed reading this poem and I'd love to read the finished product.

    Take Care,
    Bonnie
