Gravestones

by Victoria Rainey   Apr 12, 2007

One by one
All lined up in a row
Each one buried and gone
Floating around in the air
Is their sorrow

Each of those gravestones
are my close personal friends
Friendship that we thought
Would never end

Until they chose the wrong choices
Decided to drink and drive
It wasn't just one or two friends
It was about twenty five

They all had a party
That I decided not to attend
Each one of them died
It sucks, because they were my friends

They stole a bus
All decided to have fun and get drunk
The drunk driver was Gus

He drove on a road that led to a curve
Each one of them died
I guess they were so sure
They were going to have fun and still be alive

Gus missed the curve
And the bus just rolled down the rocky hills
I guess they were not so sure
About being completely drunk and filled

Eachone of them died
All twenty five
The bus just kept on rolling, miles down to the bottom
Only if I were able to stop em

Now here I stand at theier gravestones
I wondered if they knew they were going to die
Would they go
Back in time?

Now here Im standing, praying
for each one of my friends
Hoping and hanging onto our friendship
Because I promised them it would never end
