Mother May I...

by Gabriella   Apr 12, 2007

Mother May I take a second look,
back to the things that once took place
the sad memories, the god memories.
The best of them all December 8th
the first time you and daddy looked at my face.

Mother may i take a second look
A look into my past
the Torment-full feeling are still there
they will always last

Mother how Could you?
leave us so sad and so alone
Mommy we stood up for hours
wondering when you'll get home

Mother was it me?
am the one to blame?
Am i the cause of all this misery and of all this shame?

Mother may i ask
what came from all of this?
you left us 7 years ago.
With Daddy in charge,
the only one left that cared for you kids

What about now?
when I'm the one who takes the stand.
with my kid in hand.
trust me MA i will be
(that better man)!!

The fatherly Role, the motherly role
i had to take it all
theres nothing left for me
nothing but a free fall

I'm drowning in my tears of sorrow
I'm drowning in my tears of pain
when will i wake up from this dread full dream?
why is GOD putting this all on me?

Mother may i take a second look..
Mother may i take the next step..
Mother may i rewind the hands of time
regardless of whats been said

I'm Finishing this off Right
hopeing i did take the next step
think about my future
but never Forgetting about my Past!!

There comes a time in our lives where we learn that "life is not fair"

    'Mother was it me?
    am the one to blame?
Am i the cause of all this misery and of all this shame?'

If this poem is true I must say one thing that you should never blame yourself. So often in life we blame ourselves for things that are not our fault, the actions purely of someone else on their own. Filled with emotion, made this poem great.

    All the best,
    Take Care
