DARK ROAD

DARK ROAD

there i was once again,
walking down that dark cold lonely road,
waiting for someone to save me,
no one came to my rescue,
ingsomething tells me to turn around,
and go back to the old ways,
but something else tells me to keep going,
wishing that something good will happen,
that all we have in this world is hopes and dreams,
no fantasy no reality,
just dreams,
there isn't any sunshine on this road,
it feels like I've been walking for a few seconds,
its been years and years,
my life keeps flashing in my eye's,
i see the good times,
the bad times,
the laughs,
the flight's,
the love,
and the hate,
i see it all once again,
and it's like someone is trying to break me down,
i see the white light up ahead but i cant run,
i try mentally to run and physically but i cant run to the light,
to the safety,
to the love,
to the warmth or a family hug,
a hug from a friend,
the kiss from my love,
the feeling's that i feel are not new,
they are old and have grown in pain,
they are eating me from the inside out,
i try to control them,
it doesn't work,
people say it will get better,
but that dark road doesn't seem to stop,
anytime soon i think ill stop walking,
look around,
sit down,
and die alone,
but something keeps me going,
i don't know what or why but something dose,
i think its my heart knowing that when i make it to the end,
you'll be there...
