Solitude

by Rosario   Apr 13, 2007

In a crowded noisy place,
I see myself walking alone
In the laughter of the people around,
I hear an internal anguish

The bright sunlight seemed drowning
The stars at night seemed not sparkling
The blue skies has turned gray
The river has dried up

Birds are no longer chirping
Lilies are no longer blooming
Trees has not bear fruits
Fields has nothing to harvest

Oh solitude!
I see no more my cheerful face
Eyes cast down, lips don’t speak
No hellos, nor plastic smiles

That was once my lonely life
