All These Lives

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 14, 2007

All these lives we toss away,
Children dying everyday,
Here's a game boy, go and play,
Buy your troubles one more day.

We take for granted all we own,
Drenched in sin we don't atone,
Who truly sees the seeds we've sewn?
The good we've lost, the evil grown.

All these lives which pass us by,
The pain they feel that we deny,
As we wait for God's reply,
We watch humanity slowly die.

Give me not what I can't take,
No weight to bear or back to break,
Clear my mind when I awake,
Or my feeble heart shall break.

All I can say is wow. You have hit the nail on the head with the message in this. It's amazing. I respect your views and agree with you and only wish that I had the ability to convey such power in my poems. I loved the flow it was absolutlely flawless in my opinion. I personally enjoyed the read and you have done a wonderful job with it. We do need to stand up and be heard. 5/5
