What they don't know

by HollywoodSmile   Apr 14, 2007

I may be young
but i am intelligent

i may be a girl
but i will fight for what i want

i may act like a girl who doesn't do anything
mum, dearest

i may seem like i don't know the nastiness that lives
but i live it

i may appear to not understand the sick, perverted things people say and do

but believe me
mum, dearest

I'm not the stupid four year old you think i am

I'm not the prudent Amish girl you want me to be

I'm not the girl who wants to go to church so i can be a good person that you pretend to be

i am what i am
what i am is what you don't know
and what you think i don't know, everyone in this century knows

you think I'm going to grow up and be a frigging nun or something

but what you don't know i know
is what i am
and what you don't understand
is what i am
and what you don't know, mum dearest
is that i don't care

what i shouldn't know
is what we all laugh at
when you leave the room

what you don't know
doesn't hurt me
