Coffee Shop

by Delicious 42   Apr 14, 2007

I was sitting at a coffee shop,
Just reading, being myself,
Minding my own business,
Not paying attention to anybody else.

You walked by me and caught my eye,
I stopped reading and looked up,
You sat down at the bar,
I was taunt and destruct.

I glanced at you a few times,
You not paying any attention,
I finished my coffee and went to the bar to pay for my ticket,
The bar tender would say my name just like I mentioned.

You were in your menu,
So I made the first move,
As I walked up and introduced myself,
You looked up and gave me a nice grin.

You asked me to have a seat,
I took it and just stared,
You were beautiful in every way,
Me thinking we'd make a good pair.

You asked me my name,
I told you and asked you yours,
You told me and started a convo,
Just like some busted pores.

We talked all night in that coffee shop,
Me hanging on your every word,
You loving my emotions,
Me doing this is so absurd.

As the shop was closing you asked for my number,
I hesitated, but gave it to you,
You leaned towards me and gave me a kiss,
And at that moment I wished you were my boo.

As you drove off,
I saw my future flash at the sight,
You were my love,
Just on that night.

    Beautiful!
Your rhythm was fab and i loved the way it told a story
A glimpse into the way love can strike
    Loved it!
