Between the Skin and Bones

by bbyA   Apr 15, 2007

In this world of evil and hurt
We are made to believe that we are dirt.
We're put on this world to be put to the test
To flaunt our goods and act like the best.
We are made as sheep that follow the unreal
The opinions made are based on our appeal.
We're judged on the riches held on the outside
But where is the credit to our feelings inside?
The only valuable treasures are the gifts from above
The joy, hope, faith and our divided love.
Why do people only see what can be seen?
When there's a perfect person lying in between...

Why have you been hiding this poetic side from us all for so long? Your kinda like vanessa with her bottomless pit of a pocket in her dress. You never cease to amaze me as to what your hiding and what you pull out.

Awww how sweet and short! I love a poem that can consist of maybe 8 to 9 lines, but portray as much energy as a poem of pages! It is beautiful, and the concept is mind rendering. It gives you something to think about
