If its one thing that I hate
It's when people Judge me
Judge me based on what they see
Won't give me the time of day
Based on how I look
She's too short or
She's too black
What does that have to do with anything?
I should feel wonderful in my own skin
But it's hard when you have people around you everyday
Telling you different
One thing I won't do
Is let that affect me
I won't take it to heart
I'll laugh
And take it as a compliment
Like they say, "Black is Beautiful."
