A ture firefighter

by brittany uren   Apr 15, 2007

The pagers went and that’s how I new
My house was on fire and I had no clue
For I was a young firefighter myself
So I knew what to do when a fire came about

It was only me and my little bro.
At the time
So I went out the window
But my bro was not outside
So I new just what I had to do
Was to go back in
And save him like any firefighter would do

Just as I was ready to go back inside
I saw a chief pulling in my drive
He said he would save him no mater what
He would not go in and just come out
Being covered with ashes and sot

For he was not my chief
But one from around company
And when he went in
I prayed to god he would come out.
For him to go and risk his life for others
And to go into fires to help people out
I new that man was a true fireman

I waited till more people go there to help
Then I told them that about the fireman that went in
Then I look at I front door again
And saw the fireman with my little bro in his hand

For if he only new how much it meant to me
For him to save the life of someone that means so much to me
So if you are a volunteer
I thank you much for
You life here
