Ode to black sunrise

by Lenny   Apr 16, 2007

Ode to black sunrise,
From thy horizons,
Dream demons open eyes,
And sleeper wizens,

Troubled souls no longer weep,
Learn the lessons,
And fall to deaths in sleep,
Comprehension beckons,

Ode to black sunrise,
Nightmares teach the most,
As awareness pries,
The night plagued boast,

Unfolded in the night,
Demons behind lids infest,
Unrewarded in their plight,
And for life create the zest,

For blackened hours of darkness,
Shed light on hours of day,
See that demons are not heartless,
As daylight fears away,

Raise glass to black sunrise,
And wipe sleep from eyes,
Clap at dreamed demise,
And thank demons for cleared skies.
