Just A Girl

by Nikoshiana   Apr 16, 2007

Place a girl by the sea
And she will wander alone
Searching along the shore
For the prettiest of stone,

Then she will toss it in the air
And then into the sea
Let out a long lingering sigh
Stand, and simply be...

For she is just a girl at heart
Despite the turning of the tide
For this is the place where she can be
Alone without needing to hide,

Escaping from the busy world
The hustle bustle of life,
Being a mother to her children
Yet somehow no mans wife...

Alone in her hopes and dreams
Her thoughts deeper than the sea
She will sit and reflect her life
And all that it should be...

Then she will think of loved one past
And the love that she craves inside,
Caressing the softness of the sand
Against the turning of the tide

For she is just a girl
Despite the raging of the sea,
And she will always wander here
So she can simply be....
