Lost words

by kiara   Apr 17, 2007

If I could embrace your words
Id be a greedy sprite
Id through sticks and stones at the birds
Just to remember you in the night

But forlorn, you are gone
With terms that made me cry
I remember when I awoke in the dawn
With bearings that made me want to die

Im lucky to hear a sigh
From the trees and bluebells
Except, how do I know they arnt a lie
They might just be mothers spells

Where do you nest?
My dear brother bird
Im forever on an eternal quest
To hear a luscious word

It seems ive dropped my pot
Of enriching records
Im hoping you havent forgot
The family you left under broken floor boards

One word, I fly
Two words, I remember
One goodbye, forever I cry
The worlds lost in your ember

this is dedicated to my brother who was kicked out of the house two years ago i havent seen him for a year and i miss him so much he hasnt even called we were very close

Oh sweets, i hope you make contact with him again, chances are, he's just trying to adjust to his new life.
Keep hold of his heart and he'll come back

    "One word, I fly
    Two words, I remember
    One goodbye, forever I cry
The worlds lost in your ember"

    A beautiful bittersweet ending..

Reading this poem definetly brought back some hard times. My brother has packed his bags more than once and walked out on us. But hes always come back. I couldnt imagine what it would be like, not having my brother here. Thankyou for reminding the beauty of having him close. I hope you get to talk to him one day.

    All the best.
