Is It Any Wonder

by Iain Mackay   Apr 17, 2007

I always thought that I knew,
That yes, I would have the right to,
Find love and hold it for forever too.

You proved me wrong,
Opened my eyes,
The light streamed in,
Until I realized.

You were laughing all along,
And now I look a fool for it all,
Thinking that you felt the same too.

Is it any wonder that I'm tired,
Is it any wonder that I'm uptight,
When you bring about this plight,
Infatuating the entirety of my life.

But now it ends,
I'll end it quick,
Cutting you out of my life with no regret.

I'll say goodbye,
And it will be my last,
Is it any wonder that I even tried.
