In Memory Virginia Tech

In Memory Virginia Tech

sorry mom and dad I had to go
I didn't want to, you must know
I woke this morning, and what unfolds
a man with a gun, with eyes so cold
I was in class, I needed good grades
then he came in, bullets sprayed
We were in shock, we fell to the floor
but there he stood shooting us all
It happened so fast, went so quick
time stood still, I felt so sick
I tried to hold on, as my life slipped away
I knew your get mad, if I did not stay
But we are with god now, we have all gone home
So Please don't cry, I'm not alone
Remember I love you, treasure our time
even though I was taken, by a senseless crime
My life cut short, but so very sweet
at heavens gate we shall meet
I send to you this gift from above,
that god protects all that he loves
sorry mom and dad that I had to go
I didn't want to, you must know
