In memory of shantel

I was in school, laughing and joking,
When you left, the 2nd of April 07.
My heart always aches and yearns for you,
Every time Lauren says you've gone to doggy heaven.

When Kirstie sat down and told me,
I wished it was a late April fools joke.
But it all started becoming to real,
When on her words she started to choke.

I turned on the t.v, the night that you left,
It was about cloning animals from the dead.
Stupidly i started conjuring thoughts,
I had my music on loud to get them out of my head.

I vow to never forget you Shantel,
When you made us cross, when you made us laugh.
And i know you were saying goodbye to me,
When your toys mysteriously rolled up the garden path.

So in memory of you Shantel,
This is the poem Ive wrote for you.
Your barking, your fur everywhere!
I hope you know we all love and miss you.

Kirstie and Lauren are my sisters.
i know its not the best poem, but i was pretty depressed when i wrote this and it means something to me.
oh by the way... Shantel is a dog that we've had since i was a baby.
