Silently Falling

by kirsty   Apr 19, 2007

She always smiled her perfect smile
Always went that extra mile
She loved to act out a new role
Loved to be the one in control

She made her friends think she was fine
Made them believe she was intime
She told them her pet had died
When really she was trying to hide

With her parents she often fell out
But really it was herself she did doubt
She hid her faults oh so well
Neither family nor friends did she tell

She cried herself to sleep that night
Cried until her room was full of light
She was so scared of telling the truth
Trying to make sure that she did not goof.

She forgot her role later that day
Friends found out the lies she did say
She ran straight home and did not stop
Until on the kitchen floor she did drop

She reached up and grabbed a blade
Realised that herself had began to fade
She slowly pressed that knife to her wrist
Hoping that she would not be missed.

That pretty little girl had fallen from grace
That pretty little angel had hidden her face
That young lady to everyone was unknown
And now she had gone to that heavenly zone
