Tears cause more pain then cuts

by Poet   Apr 19, 2007

Tears fall like rain drops on her pillow at night
She tries so hard to go to sleep and ignore the recent fight
She can feel his touch when he's not there
And she dreams of a day when he'll care
As the days pass and she continues to cry
He continues to look her over and flirt infront of her eyes

He deals with things much differently, he likes to bleed
He never tells her that she is all he needs
He hides the marks on his arms with a sweater
He loves the rush, the endorphines make him feel better
He thinks crying is useless, it doesn't solve a thing
He knows that blood is the source of everything

She sits with him at a table in a resteraunt
Telling him her feelings, that he is all she wants
He looks at her, into those blue eyes
He knows that at night she cries
She takes his hand in hers and intertwines her fingers with his
He leans in and gives her one small kiss

That night she cries once again
He pulls out his blade and starts cutting his skin
She cries and she cries from holding it all in
He releases his feelings through his own violence
And then one day she can't take it and loses her senses

She cries and cries as she finally takes his actions
She knew all along, she just never stopped him
She grabs a sharp blade and brings it to her throat
She slits it and bleeds everywhere on the floor

He shows up at her funeral a few days later
"I'm sorry my dear we weren't meant to be together"
As he walks away, a new girl on his arm
He realizes her tears caused way more harm
