Thank you for caring about me that day

When others decided to walk away

Thank you for reaching out that hand

Which was the only thing that helped me stand

Thank you for listening when others did not

Thank you for teaching me what I hadnt been taught

Thank you for willingly showing me the way

Thank you for all the things that you let me say

For all the times you defended me

To all the things you let me see

From telling me stories, word by word

To making me listen to what I hadnt heard

Thank you for talking kindly, with never a bark.

Thank you for pulling me out of the dark.

A teacher does so much, a parent as well

But it was your care that made me all well.

Thank you for standing with me till the end

But thank you, the most, for being a caring friend.
