Walking Away

She stands starring at him as the tears continue to fall.
He stands unflinching,
trying not to show his pain.
She finally said good-bye today,
she just couldnt deal with it anymore.
The not talking for days
and not seeing him for weeks.
He wants so badly to beg her to change her mind,
but instead he stands there,
starring at his princess like she never meant anything at all.
But he knows that's a lie because she is his world.
She stands praying shes not making a mistake, and then she does it.
She gets the courage to mumble "good-bye sweetheart"
and walk away from the one boy that once meant everything
