In its grasp

by skylee   Apr 20, 2007

I lay in sorrow till it consumes me
it hold me still, unable to move
trembling in dismay, not knowing what is to become of me
i lay in sorrow till it consumes me
it takes the very breath you gave me
every time i move forward
it takes me five steps back
i lay in sorrow till it consumes me
its like a shadow its swoops in and makes the best things turn bad
it will never stop till it has me
i lay in sorrow till it consumes me
it wont let me go no matter how loud i scream
no one seems to be able to rescue me
it has me in its grasp
telling me to lay still
for how long i ask
not one word, theres no reply
i lay in sorrow till i die
