When you look at me
You see a pretty face
When I look in the mirror
I see a bloody disgrace

You say that I'm beautiful
And live a fairly well life
I say that I'm nothing
And need to find the knife

You say that I need to eat
That I'm only skin and bones
I say that I'm way too fat
And that's why my stomach moans

You say that I'm wonderful
A sweet amazing girl
Lets see what you think
When you hear me hurl

You say all these nice things about me
You even look past my sin
How can you say this stuff
Even after you know I cut my skin?

    This was a really beautiful piece but so sad, and self-hatred is so ugly. i agree with June, you do seem to be beautiful inside, and if people say you are beautiful, than you probably are.

    What an amazingly beautiful piece and one that that brought a tear to my eye.I can not begin to understand why someone so young wants to harm themselves and what pain they must be feeling but I have been through the pain of what its like to almost lose someone you love because they tried so hard to end it all and I can say to almost lose that person is heartbreaking and at the same time a relief that she never succeeded.You are beautiful...everyone is beautiful in their own way..its not the outside that counts ...its what its inside....and seems to me like you have a kind heart.Take care x
