White Oleander

by Keath   Apr 21, 2007

Fear is a failure
Hope is a sin
Both will destroy your life
If you let them come in

Love is a fable
Remorse only brings despair
Both will be your devastation
If you think life is fair

I have told you an hundred times
And explained it ten times more
I do not longer want to be yours
My future lies on a different shore

You have brought me nothing but pain
And used me as a marionette
Then you ask me to feel compassion
Don't you comprehend that you are sad

Hate can be revenge
Strength is your spirit
Combine them as your fighters
It is my blood you have inherited

Courage is our call
Mind will bring fate
Together, you can do all you want
Let the inhabitants of the earth devastate

Your mind is making you crazy
The ideas are not as they seem
How can you act so foolish
Is this a new sort of redeem

I will not be your leverage
I have crossed that path long ago
My hope will be my revenge
And let that come to you

No more begging reaches my ears
I am deaf for your mortal sinning
Let me rest in my own peace
It is I who is winning
