She Loves Me Not

by LostLikeTearsInRain   Apr 22, 2007

I write to you my dear
During this most dreary time
Because I am left with nothing
Not a single penny or dime

It seems that when you left me
You took away all that mattered
So now my heart remains motionless
On the floor bruised and battered

I hope it just stays there
It hurts too much when it's inside me
Besides, it's worthless
Without you for my eyes to see

I find myself plucking flower pedals
Chanting "She loves me, she loves me not."
It's strange how I always end with
"She loves me not."

I love this one too... I have a poster called "He Loves Me Not" on it with a crying fairy holding a flower with one petal left on it while others are surrounding her. I've always liked the idea of making a poem like this... awesome job! 5/5
