Alone

by shattered and broken   Apr 23, 2007

Alone in her room she waits for him now
Shes hoping and praying hell be there somehow
But as the time turns and the clock ticks away
She knows shes alone and thats how shell stay
And as she slides into bed the sheets feel so cold
She needs him there with her she needs him to hold
To touch his soft skin and feel the beat of his heart
To know that no longer must they be apart
To simply be held all the night long
Deep in his arms where nothing is wrong
And along with these thoughts a smile appears
Soon erased by the flow of her now present tears
For reality hit her like a brick to the head
That shes still alone in her cold and cruel bed
Still hoping and praying hell be there somehow
And she falls asleep knowing he cant be there right now

I love this poem. It's really good. I can relate to it so well. I like how its simple but not that complex. Great Job.
