Anthem

Crowded streets where brothers lay
Chaos held for now at bay
A peaceful and triumphant scene
Following the men in green

Marches in the pouring rain
Hiking no matter what the pain
Tattered, broken till they hear the call:
All Give Some, Some Give All

They pick themselves up and fight again
They wont give up until we win!
Tired and defeated, maybe
But nothings stronger then the USMC

So when worse comes to worse and theres no way to live
Remember the strength they all had to give
And think of your troubles and hear your own falls
And remember how they're protecting us all

Because the Question isn't much more you can take,
But how much more you can give
Just when you're quit, your mind says Push Harder
You listen, sensing an inner strength that wasn't there before
Suddenly you discover, you no longer feel the pain

Now you understand what these people live for
They give all theythieve till they cant give us no more
No family's there keep them safe
Alone in a horrible place

But they give themselves to live for the best
TheyThey'reonger than ever and theythievetten the test
They hold up the standards the others live by
Accepting nothing lower than the sky

So when you walk past the grave on Memorial Day
The one that marks where an unknown fighter lay
Drop then a flower or pray a good thought
And remember the freedom that good person brought
