Would You Die For Me?

by Kristy   Apr 26, 2007

They had been together for a year now
They were so in love
She absolutely adored him
She was his angel from above

She wasn't at school for the next week
He started to wonder why
He was continuously calling her
But she just didn't reply

She finally decided to call him back
He asked why she hadn't been at school
She told him she was at the doctors
He asked if everything was cool

She told him everything was fine
And then asked him something weird
He wondered why she asked him this
Was it something he said or did

She asked him if he'd die for her
He told her that he would
He asked if everything was okay
She said she's never felt so good

He asked why she was saying this
She ended with goodbye
She then hung up the phone
So he couldn't hear her cry

The next day at school
She wasn't there again
He asked her friends why this was
They told him what had happened

The doctor had told her
That she had only a week left
She asked him that question
So she knew before her last breath

He now knew why she asked him
If he would die for her
And he thought it was time for him
To do it in return

That night just before he decided to leave
He wrote a letter to his family and friends
He told them that he was truly sorry
But it was time for his life to end

Just before he pulled the trigger
He slowly started to cry
But knew he had to do it
Because to her he'd never lie
